What we do with what you tell us.

About this policy

This is the privacy policy for daymarkconstruction.com, the website of Daymark Construction. It explains what we collect when you use this site or get in touch with us, why we collect it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to remove it.

Who we are

Daymark Construction trades as Daymark. We are a residential remodeling company based in Savannah, Georgia. We work on whole-home remodels, kitchens, bathrooms, exteriors and grounds across Savannah, the surrounding coastal Georgia communities and the South Carolina Lowcountry.

We are the business responsible for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@daymarkconstruction.com or on (912) 500-6565, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

What we collect

Almost everything we hold about you, you typed yourself. The enquiry form on our contact page asks for your name, your email address, your phone number, the kind of project you are considering, and the details of it. Those details are where the house is, roughly when it was built, what is not working about it, how far along the design is, when you would like to start, and whether you will be living in the house during the work. The phone number is optional. The rest is what we need in order to reply properly.

If you email, call or text us, we keep that correspondence — the message and the address or number it came from — so there is a record of the conversation.

Our web host records ordinary technical information whenever a page is served: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time it was requested. That is standard server logging. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

We do not ask for financial details, government identification numbers, or any other sensitive personal information through this website, and we do not want them. Please do not send them to us.

Why we collect it

We use what you give us to reply to your enquiry, to answer your questions, to arrange a call or a visit to the house, and to carry out work you engage us for. That is the whole of it.

We also keep records of enquiries and of completed projects so we can look back at what was discussed and agreed, and to meet ordinary business, warranty and tax record-keeping obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Text messages and mobile opt-in

If you give us your mobile number and agree to be contacted that way, we may text you about your enquiry or your project — confirming a visit, answering a question, letting you know we are on our way.

You give that consent by ticking the consent box in the chat widget on this site, or by texting us first. The box is not ticked for you, and you can send the message whether or not you tick it. Agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of us doing any work for you. The consent is yours, and it is yours to withdraw at any time.

To stop messages, reply STOP to any text we send. You will get one confirmation that messages have stopped, and then nothing further from us by text. Reply HELP and we will reply with our name and how to reach us: Daymark Construction, info@daymarkconstruction.com, (912) 500-6565.

Msg & data rates may apply. Message and data rates may apply — those rates are charged by your own mobile carrier, not by us. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Who else sees it

To run the business we rely on a small number of outside service providers, and your information passes through them. Today an enquiry reaches us as email: the form composes a message and sends it to info@daymarkconstruction.com, so it travels through your own email provider and ours. We are setting up GoHighLevel as our customer relationship management system and form handler. Once it is live, it will receive enquiries from the form directly, store them so we can reply and keep track of the conversation, and send and receive text messages through its LeadConnector messaging service. Our web host serves this site and keeps the server logs described above. We will update this page as that changes.

We choose providers whose terms restrict them to providing their service to us, and we do not authorise any of them to use your information for their own purposes, to sell it, or to use it for their own marketing.

Once you engage us for work, we may need to give a supplier or subcontractor the practical details required to do their part of the job — an address, a phone number to arrange access. Only what is needed, and only for that purpose. This is never done for marketing, and mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never included.

We may disclose information where the law requires it: a court order, or a lawful request from a government body. We may also use it to establish or defend a legal claim. If the business is ever sold or merged, records may pass to the new owner, who would be held to this policy; mobile opt-in data and SMS consent would not be transferred for marketing purposes.

Beyond that, and beyond the image host described under Cookies and analytics, nobody else sees it.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.

Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Nor are they rented or shared with any affiliate for those purposes. Your mobile number and your consent stay with us and with the service providers that deliver those messages on our behalf, and they are used only to deliver the messages.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not run analytics, advertising or tracking software. There is no Google Analytics or equivalent installed, we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and the site sets no cookies of its own.

Some photographs on this site are served from a third-party image host, which receives your IP address and browser type in order to deliver them. It does not set tracking cookies, and it gets nothing else about you.

If we later embed a third-party tool — a form handler, or a scheduling tool — it may set a cookie that is necessary for it to function, for instance to stop a form being submitted twice. Those are functional, not tracking.

If we ever add analytics, we will say so on this page, describe what it records, and update the date at the top. Your browser can block or delete cookies, and this site will still work if you do.

How long we keep it

We do not keep enquiry records longer than we need them. Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted once they are clearly not going anywhere.

Where an enquiry becomes a project, we keep the project record for as long as we are working together and for as long afterwards as warranty, insurance and tax obligations require. Construction records reach back a good many years.

Text message records are kept for the same period as the rest of the conversation they belong to. Server logs are held by our host under its own retention settings.

If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are required by law to keep it.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, to delete it, or to stop contacting you. Email info@daymarkconstruction.com or call (912) 500-6565.

We honour these requests whether or not the law where you live obliges us to. We will get back to you as quickly as we can, and within thirty days at the outside. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before we act, usually by replying to the email address or number we already hold for you.

Withdrawing one kind of consent does not withdraw the others. You can ask us to stop texting and still hear from us by email, or ask us to stop entirely. Replying STOP ends text messages; tell us if you would like everything else stopped as well.

Children

This website is not directed at children and our work is not marketed to them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information through this site, write to info@daymarkconstruction.com and we will delete it.

Keeping information secure

We use established providers, keep access to enquiry records limited to the people who need it, and serve this site over an encrypted connection. No system is perfect and we will not claim otherwise. Please do not send anything sensitive through the enquiry form.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the business changes — if analytics is added, if a provider changes, or as our text messaging settles into a routine. The date at the top always shows when it last changed. Anything material will be flagged on this page rather than changed quietly.
